You're Invited! Free Workshop Presented By Yours Truly :)

Hi Sweet Awesomeness!

I just turned 53 - Yipee!

In honor of my birthday and my renewed commitment to serving with simcha / joy, I decided to launch ‘Camp Nana Leia’ with my first (& free) playshop!

Care to join? It will be so much fun!!

Read below and then click here for my video to you :)

It’s 18 minutes - so I ask that you pnly watch the first minute or two, if that is all you have time for. However, should you treat yourself to the time, make a cup of cozy and stay with me all the way through. Oh, yes, please do :)

I’m still kind of new to recording myself on video, so forgive my not focusing on the screen, I’ll get the hang of it… for now, done is better than none ;)

Also, Correction - my kids don’t call me Nana (don’t know how I said that! lol) My grand-kiddos do!

About the Creative Playshop:

What is it?

A 12-Week Playshop (a free workshop!) based on Julia Cameron’s book - The Artist’s Way

Why should I?

If you want to add sparks of joy, creativity and spontaneity into your life.

If you want to better connect with your Divine creative essence.

If you want to connect with others (and me!) by through this life-enhancing experience.

Who is it for? Do I have to be an “artist” to join?

No, No, and Absolutely No!

What you do need to be is open to contemplation, and self introspection, and making time for the daily writing of the “morning pages” AND the weekly “artist dates” with yourself - AND be ready for more self-love and joy to show up in your heart and in your life! Becoming more creative is an outcome.

When is it?

Monday Evenings from 6-8pm

Intro Meet: Thursday, June 8, 2023

Start Date: Monday, June 12, 2023

Final Meet: Monday August, 28

The purpose of the “Intro Meet” is to dive into the details of the two core exercises - and to get to meet one another!

I will be answering any questions you have, so feel free to ask whatever comes up for you. Meeting this way will allow us to dive right into the book’s experience the following Mon, June 12.

 Where is it?

Online. A link will be emailed to you once you join.

Requirements - Commitments:

  1. Get the Artist’s Way Book and read the intro before our first meet on 6/12/23

  2. Commit to writing 3 pages a day each morning into a lined journal (size: 8x10 or 8.5 x11) Set aside about 30 minutes daily.

  3. Commit to take yourself on a date once a week for a minimum of one hour weekly. No friends, furry or otherwise, allowed. It’s only for you, yourself and you!

 How?

The book is divided into 12 sections. Read one chapter each weekend. Write 3 “morning pages*” daily (free-flow whatever comes to mind), and take yourself on an inspired date once a week.

*Morning pages are personal and are never to be shared with others.

We will meet Monday evenings (for 12 weeks) to discuss the prompts at the close of each chapter. We will also share experiences with our “artist dates.”

I’m in! How do I join?

Contact me to join.

Sounds interesting, but… What if I have some questions?

Contact me I’m glad to shmooze with you!

Ok, I know, it may still sound kind of vague, so either watch my video message to you (click the button above), and/or enjoy any of the many videos available on YouTube describing the benefits of Morning Pages.

It would be a joy to have you join!

May - Birthday Highlights :)

Well, that’s it for now. Please consider this in lieu of my usual newsletter. This month was blessedly full, but I don’t want to overload this email so here’s a few mega-highlights:

For my Hebrew birthday I took myself to the Adirondack’s for two nights (with the hubby’s blessings) to - a TREEHOUSE!!! Yup. (Take a look at the photos - it’s the cutest coziest place ever!) Consider it an artist date on steroids! Never did anything like it before. It was magical!!

For my English birthday, I was inspired by Colin O’Brady’s book The 12Hour Walk, and took myself to Rockland Lake on Memorial Day - and, drumroll… I walked 12 miles in one day!!! (With my phone on airplane mode for the entire time.) I never did anything like that before either.

Didn’t make it to Morocco much as that remains a dream (As I write I hear the Disney song lyrics playing in my head… “Dreams can come true they can happen to you…”), however - four of my dear childhood friends (we know each other over 30 years!) took me out to Dar Yemma, a wonderful new Moroccan restaurant in New York City. Yes, so fun - and super special! My heart is filled to overflowing.

Many thanks to you all for your birthday wishes and for my fabulous gifts. Best gift of all - not to be cliché, at all - is your friendship.

I feel rejuvenated, aligned, hopeful, and oh so blessed. We are, truly. As a heartfelt reminder, don’t ever let a challenge keep you down - keep being  proactive and force your joy on. Thanks again for being on my journey and in my life. Mwah!

Sending balloons filled with blessings!

With love,
