Save the date + a New Year fave freebie!

Hoppy 2024 🎉 May it be a year filled with blessings galore!

Are you thinking of the year ahead or making it through this week? Either way, you might like to treat yourself to a session of reflection with this awesome free printable - the Year Compass. I shared it last year and I'm sharing it again. I think it may become a tradition - yes, I think it's that great!

Personally, I like to sit with it twice a year - around the new year and on my birthday - both are perfect times to stop and reflect on the past, then release what needs to go bye-bye into the deep blue yonder and start dreaming and planning for the year ahead.

Some say why bother, things happen, plans change… still, if we don’t dream, set goals, and move forward, we may as well live in a snow-globe, and while that does sound kind of fun for a day, your best life is awaiting!!

So set yourself up with a nice cup of cozy and your favorite pen. Maybe light a candle and let some harp music play.

Give yourself at least an hour - if now is not the best time - I totally get it. Print it anyway and leave it where you’ll see it, so that you can treat yourself to some solid loving introspection next chance you get.

Oh, and when you do, fill me in on your “word of the year “ - it’s one of my favorite prompts. 🖊📄  (Mine is “Quality” I’m still exploring its full meaning for me - but it popped into my mind and it feels right.)

A Peek into my next painting - sketch complete!

View the unrolling  here - it’s fun to watch, if I may say so myself :)

Above is my latest sketch for the next painting, inspired by the prayer Aishet Chayil  - Woman of Valor, from Proverbs, which is a song of praise to the woman. My intention is to acknowledge the many wonder-women in my life who do so much good without expecting the pat on the back or any reward - yet, they totally deserve it - and more!

I’m sure you know the feeling - of doing your best to keep up the fort - it’s not always easy, is it? And yet, you manage to do your thing and give a smile to others who need it, and then some. Those little things are big - they matter - You matter!! 💎

I intend this painting, when it’s complete, G♡D willing, to sing praise of every woman for all she does and all she is. 🎼🎶

Want to play with me? See if you can you spot the highlighted words depicted within the painting - hints are at my newly redesigned site :)

Traditionally Aishet Chail is sung Friday Night, followed by Kiddush and the Shabbat meal. You may enjoy to Listen here. 🎼

This week’s “artist date”

This date I took indoors - again - what can I say, I like to hibernate in the winter. I do have a way to escape though! You may remember me mentioning my Meta Quest VR headset. 😎

Up until now I only used it a handful of times for an app I installed called Wander, which let’s you pop into streets all around the world - it’s truly amazing! I can globe trot five countries in half an hour, without shlepping any luggage!

This week I tried a new app for the headset, called “Tripp” and let me tell you - it’s a trip alright! WOAH!!! Seriously - if you enjoyed Avatar in 3D, or 3D anything, then you will enjoy this, for sure.

What I love about it is that it is geared to mental health and well-being. There are many guided meditations that work to shift your mood, and you can actually tell that it’s working because you are asked to rate your mood in the beginning and end of your “trip.”

As soon as the stunning larger-than-life hummingbird flew in front of my eyes I knew I was in for a treat. I felt the day’s tension slip away.

If this sounds cool to you, too, reach out and I will happily fill you in on all the delightful details - the model, how to set it up with your phone, and get ready for your own R&R staycation.

You stayed with me - nice!! Let’s raise a glass, and say L’Chaim, to life, to friendship, and to a sweet 2024 filled with health, happiness, joy and light and abundance - and many more shared art-ventures!!

Sending balloons filled with blessings,🎈🎈🎈

Stay Uplifted!

💜 All my love, Leia
